Topiary Ornament Trees

Just a quick post to show you how I made the topiary ornament trees.

2 kissing balls
2 small pots
2 dowels 1/4x12in
spray paint
glue gun
floral green foam

I wrapped the dowels in ribbon and secured at the end with hot glue. Made the bows at the same time so I was only covered in glitter once. Attached the dowels with hot glue in two stages. First to center for placement and more glue to squeeze the branches around the dowel to secure. I set the pot on the foam to measure width, cut and hot glued in the pot. Added bedding (leftover fringe from a past party.) I like to stick all the ornaments and accents in place to see what it's going to look like before attaching. Once decorated to my symmetrical liking, I pulled each item out and add hot glue and place it back.

The kissing balls were on sale for $3.49 (big difference if using a foam ball that starts at $13), pots were $1.19 and ornaments were $1.00 for 12, spray paint $1.00 and accents were under $2.00. I had the green foam, ribbon, bedding and dowels from a leftover project.  I didn't use the blue bedding, some accents and larger ornaments shown in the top picture.
